A candy bar sold at Costco in Brisbane, Australia, can contain up to 20 mg of a drug that’s banned from sale to people under 18.
According to the ABC, a spokesperson for Costco told the ABC that it would only allow products to be bought with an ID card, which means that consumers would need to bring a receipt or proof of identity to the store.
The spokesperson also told the BBC that the company is taking a step towards banning the drug.
“As of Monday, the Costco brand will not be sold in Australia,” the spokesperson said in a statement.
“As a result, all Costco branded products, including cbd-based products, will no longer be sold at our retail stores.
