What is it about cbd candies that make them so popular?
Candy is so easy to make at home, and they’re not too heavy on calories or fat, making them a popular source of snack snacks.
But they’re also addictive and can cause tooth decay, a serious health issue.
The American candy store chain Melbourne says the number of customers returning cbd cookies and candy after a short-term holiday break is increasing.
“We’re seeing people returning and trying again to stock their pantries and other areas of their homes,” a spokesperson told ABC News.
“Candy can be addictive and, unfortunately, sometimes people will eat too much and get tooth decay.”
Melbourne says it has a team of scientists in place to monitor the products and the environment, but it said it was working to limit the impact of the cbd holiday on its customers.
CBD candy is available in some stores around the world.
ABC News contacted many of the shops, including those in the U.S. and Europe, for comment.
We were unable to locate any retailers in those countries that would comment on the situation.
However, a spokesperson for the European Union Food Safety Authority said the agency was working with the Australian government on plans to ensure cbd products are processed responsibly.
A spokeswoman for the Australian Food Standards Agency said the regulator was in contact with the American Candy Company.
There have been some reports of consumers in the United States and Europe suffering dental decay from cbd.
One study published in the journal Dentistry of California reported that between 2004 and 2009, the number and types of cbb cookies recovered from patients in the emergency room was about 3% of those cookies that were sold as candy, compared to 2% of cookies sold as ice cream or ice cream flavored with flavoring and 5% of the cookies sold in candy.
